Why i hear boss music??

Iris, once very hated with the unova season, and now very loved, and a very good battle, go iris go.

Its funny how morpeko eats the local specialties of the challengers, in this episode he was eating a casteliacone from unova, and an old gateau from sinnoh

I feel that Journeys Iris has more of a cheery genki persona whereas in Best Wishes, she was pretty annoying particularly with the "You're such a kid" catchphrase. It also didn't help when she just had stuff landing on her lap like her OP Dragonite (who ironically, got absolutely bodied by Ash's Dracovish and Cynthia's Milotic).

Truth is every Dragonite in this series is getting bodied hard.

It's kinda ironic that Iris used to tell Ash all the time that he is a kid. Looking at them now Ash is a much more mature trainer and Iris is acting even childish than before even even after becoming the champion.
They have potrayed Cynthia how they always to when it comes to battles even during her DP days, she has always been absolutely ruthless when she is battling.

Her dragonite is portrait as having outstanding attack power, fitting its agreesive nature, but being outstandingly squishy.
Just compare it to Lnace's and even Ash's. These two increadibly tough.

After Milo beat he exdrill the there was another boss music. LOL

Last time morpeko was eating shalour sable, so next episode it will be lava cookies and maybe malasada? I mean Ash is from Kanto but he's also the Alolan champion, and I don't remember Kanto having any local specialty

Also DAAAMN Cynthia's Milotic was a savage, also did anyone else get chills when Cynthia's Garchomp descended from the sky with Boss Music?

Idk but this arc is making me so much nostalgic ,I am remebering each and every charachter and the time Ash spent with them , it makes me sad :(

Iris did well. Through I think she got lucky that they gave her a less painful lost compare to Alain who got crush. Lol, They finally realize their mistake after so many people had rant on them on twitter. Gave a worthy lost that doesn't look bad.

Cyntina with the mega stone on lip stick. Probably the coolest thing I seen. She was so bady.

She always was such a badazz to begin with.
But it's sad that Dragonite's are getting so nerfed in this T_T

I don't understand the Dragonite treatmeant. Has no mega, Z move, or a special gmax.
Being one of the 1st Pseudo-legendary , Only Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, and Garchomp has a mega.

I personally think it’s stupid so many people complained.. like Alan’s achievements aren’t much better than ash’s and ash lost immediately to Leon as well, ash and Alan both have beaten legendaries and both have high achievements. So I’m annoyed so many people complained about Alan losing when it actually makes sense he lost. Leon simply had a better charizard, Leon became the best in the world with that charizard. Like come on people.

He was fighting a Mega Charizard, which went down in a single attack, by a normal charizard. -_-

The only difference between Charizard and Mega Charizard is its offensive stats its defenses ares till the same.

The excadrill in this ep survived two muddy water attcks and M.Charizard could not bear even one dragon pulse. I don't think these guys actually take stats in account.
Even mega garchomp survived the same attack while having almost same sp.def as charizard.
(also, only Sp.Def remains the same. Physical defense increases, but this doesn't matter hence the brackets)

We all get that Leon Char is strong. Don't act like Alain Char doesn't have the same but almost insane feats. Went around beating many Mega pokemon, taking a blow from a legendary, and out lasting Ash Greninja final attack.

Alain Char is strong. The way he got beat does not make sense at all. This Char is very tanky. Should have last alot of attacks. It does not bold well to many people because we all know what kind of Char Alain has. This battle doesn't respond to what many of us feel.

Of course he will lose to Leon, but not the same in a crushing defeat that doesn't display the true stregth of his Char.
I be more happy Alain lose the same wall like Iris did. Fighing till bitter end. A better lost than crushing lost.

i wasn't even aware that milotic could learn iron head and yes i heard that bloody music and got the bloody ptsd of Garchomp, about iris while i didn't like her much when i started best wishes (in dub) but then i found out her japanese voice actress is one of my favorites ^^ aoi yuuki so its always good to hear her voice

That Milotic was so OP and as soon you here the boss music in the background it's danger time.

Iris could have horn drilled Milotic too. Ash's and Lance's dragonite would have been unfazed but that attack combo. Boss music during Garchomp's kinda foreshadowed Mega Garchomp which is known to have a huge bloodlust after mega evolving based on his entry.

Iris was alright, saw it on utube I felt like the fight was not satisfactory, I hope they do get back on track to the level of content from last week. I dunno how pokemon battles should really work but I do feel that the moves should have been better deployed if you know what I mean. Maybe it's the music and animation?

What a battle... Haxorus has come such a long way offscreen, all the old characters getting Cameo, that clashing of Dragon Pulse and Draco meteor also that damn Milotic as overpowered as it was in games back in the day. These battles are absolutely a treat to watch the old characters with the modern battle animations. And that absolute chad chin that Garchomp gets when megaevolving, can't wait for Pikachu to hit his Z move against Mega Metagross and solidigying Ash is representing as the Alola champion as Team rocket claimed.

This episode was beautiful especially the end when Satoshi sensed his friend's sorrow. My only complaint is Goh being there when Iris was crying. I felt like She and Satoshi were having a moment there :(

That annoyed me too and I thought only the competitors were allowed back there? Goh ruins a lot of things...

I agree . Even though Goh is a decent character , some moments are only reserved for best ones

The truth is overflowing. Goh's presence was just forced there. He neither has experience nor is a close friend to Iris to get a peak at what os one of the brother-sister bond between Ash and Iris.

I was like yeah, its cliche, MC appearing there to cheer her up but its still so heartfelt and then Goh entered and I was like WTF, where did you come from?

That's her keystone. The Mega-Stone she apperantly just threw over when she did the evolution.

You gotta give credit to Iris, competing against Cynthia without z-crystal, mega stone or dynamax. But Cynthia and her team was beast especially Milotic & Garchomp who had his own ominous boss theme when he descended lol. Also was awesome how Cynthia never flinched when a pokemon got knocked out or when a move like Hydro pump blasted next to her. Just confused why dragon pulse shot towards draco meteor rather then Garchomp

I was thinking that too why she didn't use any of them, is it because she never got any stone or crystal in her journey with Ash or she wanted to keep her dragon pride

most likely doesn't have em, she's only really been confirmed to have journeyed though unova, johto and kalos. this is probably her first time visiting galar so dynamax is out of the question as are megas given that not one of her 5 known pokemon can mega evolve. its also doubtful that shes even been to alola.
she was pretty much at a disadvantage from the start as all the other champions are from places with gimmicks &/or have been to go to places with the gimmicks
that being said, i wouldn't be too surprised if ash the only one with a z-crystal as the rest of the champions seem to favor megas or d/g-max more.
